PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
International programs often require staff with different skill sets than in other care departments at hospitals, which may also mean that their compensation rates look different than their domestic counterparts. In order to better understand appropriate market rates for these positions, the USCIPP program surveyed its member organizations regarding the compensation levels for three positions within their international programs:
This is the second time that USCIPP has conducted a compensation analysis, with a similar survey having been completed in 2016.
Hospital participants were presenting with three different job descriptions, each containing required skills, abilities, and tasks. For each job description, hospitals were asked to provide information specific to their organization for positions that closely matched the description. Information collected included job title, years of experience, salary, relevant certifications, and highest level of education. Hospitals could report up to three internal positions that matched the USCIPP-provided descriptions. At least five positions were necessary for results to be reported to keep data anonymous. Data for this project were collected in May and June 2021.
