The National Council on Administrative Fellowships (NCAF) members consists of 83 fellowship sites and 39 graduate programs. The direction of NCAF is monitored and set by the NCAF Steering Committee, which includes the work of the Benchmarking, Research, and Metrics Workgroup and the Emerging Leaders Workgroup. This year, NCAF completed the 7th annual benchmarking survey for students and administrative fellowship applicants and the 9th annual benchmarking survey for fellowship sites, graduate programs, and fellows.
Between January and May of 2024, over 460 hospitals, health systems, students, graduate programs, and administrative fellows responded to these surveys. Respondents provided recruitment data, anecdotal feedback on the early careerist experience and career trajectory, Centralized Application Service (NAFCAS) satisfaction, and information about fellowship opportunities and graduate programs.
This data collection process is designed to monitor dynamics within the field of administrative fellowships and healthcare management education, as well as the impact of NCAF activity on outcomes.
As an NCHL member policy, members who did not submit responses to the surveys will be required to pay for the survey results. Primary contacts for each organization who have responded to the survey have been notified and sent the survey for zero cost.
We cannot give refunds to sites that have already received the survey results. To inquire if your organization has received the benchmarking report already, please contact ncaf@nchl.org
